Zac's Letter: June 19, 2010

Hey Family!

Well first things first, I don't know all the info for the Talbot's homecoming but I know that it is in Sandy on July 18.  They are going around and interviewing all of the missionaries this next week to say good bye to everyone and are in interviews right now so I'll ask them for more info and email it to you guys asap.  They leave the mission July 1 but the homecoming is later because they are going out east to do a church trip and see Palmyra and everything.  It's so weird how soon they go home.  They have less then two weeks left and then they are gone.  They are so amazing and I'm going to miss them a ton!

With the Talbot's leaving and the consolidation of missions there is so much stuff we have to take care of.  I've never been so stressed!  If we were just getting a new mission president it would be cake but with the missions combining we have to redo how we do transfers, zone conferences and tons of other things.  We had a meeting with President Talbot yesterday for 3 hours trying to figure out how everything is going to work next transfer.  We will have zone leader council next week but hold off on zone conferences until President Jergensen gets here.  We then have to do 6 zone conferences in 8 days.  After zone conferences we spend the next week driving around to every district meeting in the mission and interviewing every missionary.  By the time that ends it will be time to do transfers.  I hope President Jergensen has a lot of greenie fire because once he gets here he doensn't have a chance to catch his breath until the transfer ends.

A lot of missionaries get burnt out at the end but with our crazy schedule I won't even get to pile out!  Haha!  I'm just glad that I have Elder Morris here because he is a stud.  My last couple of companions have been so tight!  Now even if we get a goober from Illinois we should be fine and outnumber him.

We had transfers Thursday and all the missionaries are now safely in their new areas.  It was sad driving the tranfer van to Sioux City and seeing all the missionaries who got transfered there and out of the mission.  They were all so bummed when they found out that they were going to the Omaha mission.  But the Omaha mission president is going way out of his way to make them feel welcome so I'm sure they'll be fine.  The only bummer about the whole deal is that President wouldn't let us send all the piles over there.

So my week has been good but not a whole lot to report since we mostly did transfers.  Our next big project is doing the training for the coming zone conferences.  President assigned us ch.6 in PMG "Christlike Attributes".  He gave us the whole chapter so it's a ton to train on but it will be good.  Our theme is going to be "Becoming One in Christ".  It should be quite inspirational and probably the best training I know of.

I love you all and want to wish Dad a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  You are the best!  You have helped me so much on my mission and I have always looked up to you!  I love you!

Love
Elder Jergensen
