Hola mi familia!
Wow this has been such a sweet week! The best thing ever happened this week, and I can't believe it took me almost 5 weeks to figure it out... Elder Bryan lives on the bottom floor of my building. I am on the 4th floor, so we never crossed paths except occasionally in our building that we have class, but then my buddies went down to his floor for vendies and ran in to him. It is so sweet, and we hang like every night! He is such a stud! We have been teaching each other lessons in spanish and contacting each other and everything. It is going to break my heart when he leaves a week before me. TG peaced out on me this week. Luckily, I caught him the morning he left so I got to say goodbye, but he is so awesome! He is going to do so great and his spanish sounds so good! It was so sweet to be in the MTC with all those sweet guys!
This week, we are able to shake hands again! It was weird not being able to... well we did anyways, but it is cool to be able to now without breaking the rules. ha. I guess that the flu has stopped spreading so much, and that there is only like one elder in quarantine, so they took away the shaking ban.
Thank you so much for that package. That was the best ever! I love the ties! I love the cookies! I didn't so much love the lotion ;) ha Greasy Girls! My favorite thing was that other memory card! I loved seeing the greasy pictures and movies! Now everyone in the MTC knows how greasy our family is because they heard dad and the girls speaking "caveman" when I was watching it. I was laughing so hard! I will send my memory card home next week, so put more stuff on it when you send it back because that is probably the last time we will get to exchange memory cards! Maybe i will film a few little things for you jokers to see.
Oh and the weirdest thing... I had an interview with one of the members of my branch presidency and we got talking about mail in south america. He had two daughters that served there and he said the only way to ensure that they would receive his package was if he put a bunch of catholic saint stickers on it, so I was going to tell you my little insight this week. But no, you beat me to it. That was so funny when I read your letter and you already knew. I still don't know if I had already told you, if we communicate telepathically, or you found out some other random way. Sending 3 cookies was also perfect because I didn't have enough for everyone in my room, so I don't feel bad about not sharing! haha and those pictures are the bomb! BABIES, you look like professional pogo-stickers! You are so amazing!
I loved hearing that you tried to sing in spanish! It takes some practice for sure and you learn to talk and enunciate (or however you spell it) really quick. Alexis should be amazing at it! When I call home we can sing one of them over the phone or something. They are the bomb!
To answer some of your questions: Nauahi (Nu-wa-heeeee) Ha we always put a lot of emphasis on the last part of his name. He is going to Mexico City West with almost every other elder in the MTC. BIG NEWS: Elder Drussel and I got called to the traveling office this morning so we were all worried, but they told us that our visas are in, so we are going down to SLC at 2 today to sign and stuff! I am going to Mexico! I am so excited! But I found out that Elder Drussel, Gubler, and I are the only elders in the MTC going to Merida.
Now my list for you:
You have still never answered me if I get to have a scripture on my missionary plaque. I don't think our ward does that, but I just want to know. I have a couple good ones up my sleeve if I do get one.
Keep the pictures coming, but, mom, I want some of you too... and even dad (well not so much ha jk) Oh he is such a grease ball. Only he could firgure out how to grease me and everyone else up in a brief 30 second video clip!
But one of our spiritual thoughts this week was a talk by President Monson but he said "A boy who is blessed with a worthy father is fortunate indeed." I am definitely fortunate. Dad, you are the best!! I love getting your letters... oh wait my prodigal father forgot to write me! ha thanks to everyone else though!
And lexi, your letters are never long enough so just shoooosh and deal with it. I will accept whatever you send, but I can never hear too much about you sorry saps! ha that date sounds way fun, but when I write Franky today, I am going to give him a hard time. I would love to have some of those family nights back! Ha lexi I now understand how you were so tired all the time. 10:30 cannot come fast enough each day, but 6 comes as soon as I shut my eyes! I love it though!
I also need Frank's address. Usually the Dear Elders put the address on the top, but his didn't for some reason.
Elder Nauahi showed me this sweet "Pocket reference book for missionaries" it is way sweet and he got it at seagul book, so I was wondering if you could maybe get that for me.
I love you all so much!
Elder Jergensen
